The Overgrowth
It comes in waves...
An echo of the forest pulse
How could I stay?
I had to find the haunted soul
Deeper, I wade through the redwood glade
Till the verdant circle appears
Surrounded by gossamer lights that collide
With the stars as the heart draws me near
The overgrowth
We'll be swallowed by the source
I had a vision of the garden flooding through my withered veins
The veil of separation evaporated we became
One within the fall, and blooming into spring
Tendrils fused into my spine as I felt sequoias breathe
I knew the ache of ancients and the innocence of ferns
We shed our isolation, and to soil we returned
I became The Evergreen
Bound to the forest
Tethered in the thicket throne
Commanding giants
I am the Keeper of the Grove
