Always Right
Here we are at the surpass again
Same old argument, same old end
You're looking at me, with those angry eyes
But say why do you always have to be right
Well let me tell you
I'm sitting there on my bus to school
Little Sally telling us that her poor old dog had died
And gone to heaven in the sky
I turn around I told her that wasn't true
It's just a story that your parents tell you
To hide the truth
And I made her cry
Because I always have to be right
This is not just a random event
You can ask anybody I've met in my life
I can't just forgive and forget
I always had to be right
I remember back when I was 10
My sister broke a ??? and I got pinned with her crime
My mother thought that I lied
And so she held the Bible soaped to my mouth
Told me she was gonna wash the lies out
But out of spite, I took a bite
Because I always have to be right
This is not just a random event
You can ask anybody I've met in my life
I can't just forgive and forget
I always had to be right
Just because I'm no longer a kid
Doesn't mean that I won't do the things that I did back then
So don't be surprised
If I always have to be right
Because I've always had to be right,
Yeah!
This is not just a random event
You can ask anybody I've met in my life
I can't just forgive and forget
I always had to be right
